I have 28 years of maths teaching experience across different curricula including Cambridge, IEB and GCSE.
Face to face lessons are available depending on distance, mostly online lessons via Microsoft Teams. PDF's will be sent to learners in advance then live discussions during lessons. No learner shall be left without a complete understanding of the subject matter. Depending on the chapters already covered at school or the current chapter or future chapters, learners will have an opportunity to request a lesson on a particular section and it will be delivered. Active participation by learners will be expected. Learners must never say they have understood the concept and yet they have not or say l will catch up later. All understanding issues must be addressed in the lesson. The frequency of lessons can be increased towards major exams to ensure that every aspect of the subject is thoroughly revised.
Not all the learners understand at the same rate, some need a concept to be explained only once but others need it explained thrice, this is not an issue. Ample time will be allocated those who require it. Regular tests will be given and timeously marked to ensure instant feedback to the learners. Parental involvement in the education of the learners will be greatly appreciated since the three pillars (parents, children, teacher) play some crucial roles in the overall academic achievement of the child. I give homework, parents will help ensuring that it's done before the next lesson. I give tests, both the child and the parents must get the feedback.
