Experienced and qualified native speaking ESL tutor

Hello! I'm John, I'm a 37-year-old native English speaker with seven years teaching experience and a TEFL qualification.

Together, using structured lesson plans in grammar and vocabulary, we can work towards and achieve your language goals. Alongside this we will apply the acquired theory to conversation classes, helping you to improve your fluency and become a more natural, confident English speaker. Above all we will go at your pace to address the areas of language you feel you need to work on. These are your lessons. Your goals. You decide how we will progress.

I have taught both classroom-based and one-to-one classes in conversation, Cambridge exam preparation, Trinity exam preparation and English for business. I myself am a language learner, so I'm well aware of and empathetic towards the struggles that learning a language can present. I'm therefore able to maintain a patient and encouraging attitude towards my students.

I currently live in Asturias, Spain. Alongside teaching I love music, surfing and literature (novels and graphic novels in particular). I play guitar and bass guitar and write short stories and articles.
