As your journey begins and we travel together through the history syllabus you’ll find the programme of study unfolds with lessons delivered to you in delicious bite size chunks. Before long you’ll be delighted that you have put together your first assignment and that you’ll have become a bit of a detective along the way!
Was inspired by a fab history teacher and haven't looked back! I am now a knowledgeable, published historian, researcher and tutor who is fuelled by a lively passion for empowering people through history teaching and project management. I have a BA history degree and professionally trained with a postgraduate Masters degree in history.
Committed, dedicated with an abiding passion for subject and a sense of humour! Experience in teaching History at AS Level and A Level. Teaching experience with young people and adult learners, and NVQ trained working with vulnerable young people. Can design courses and deliver course work from scratch to A-Level standard. Can work flexibly in various environments to deliver subject matter using a variety of educational resources, across the syllabus to examining boards of Edexcel, AQA or OCR.
Experienced genealogist. Areas of historical knowledge with published articles ranging from the Iron Age, Anglo Saxon through to early modern England and contemporary world history.
Specialist areas political and economic twentieth century history and local history. Written extensively about the forgotten heroes of the First World War publishing three books.
