Are you looking to take your guitar skills to the next level? Welcome to my profile! I'm Oscar Li, an award-winning local guitarist from Hong Kong, now based in Manchester. With a deep-rooted passion for music and a wealth of experience, I am dedicated to helping you become the best musician you can be.

My musical journey began at the age of 12 when I discovered my love for the guitar. Under the mentorship of Mr. Jacky LAU, a highly acclaimed local guitarist, I quickly honed my skills and started actively performing. Despite studying hospitality management, my true calling as a guitar teacher emerged at the young age of 18, when I started teaching as a freelance instructor.

In a bold move, I decided to leave behind a promising career in the hotel industry and fully immerse myself in the world of music. Joining Guitar Concept at 23, I not only became an accomplished teacher and performer but also organized guitar concerts and invited renowned guitarists from around the world, including Don ROSS from Canada, Satoshi GOGO from Japan, and Pierre BENSUSAN from France, to promote and celebrate the guitar culture.

My insatiable thirst for knowledge led me to understand that music is a lifelong journey of development. Pursuing my second Bachelor's degree in Music Performance under the tutelage of Dr. Tariq HARB, I embraced numerous master classes and music camps hosted by esteemed musicians like Dr. Judicial PERRORY, Dr. Thomas VILOTEAU, Dr. Marco SAN NICOLAS, and Dr. Ingrid RIOLLOT. My dedication and talent were recognized when I graduated with distinction in 2021, winning the 1st prize in the Hong Kong Music Talent Award Competition (Guitar Open Class) and the 3rd prize in the International Fringe Music Festival & Competition (Guitar Open Class).

My teaching encompasses theory, cultural backgrounds, and a focus on reconnecting with both the body (techniques) and the mind (interpretation).
