Advert description
I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a degree in Anatomy and Human Biology, and went on to do a research Masters and teach human anatomy and dissection to undergrad and graduate medics and other healthcare students at University College Dublin. I am now studying Gradue entry Medicine at the University of St Andrews.
I love teaching and have an extensive background in Biology and Anatomy especially. I would be happy to teach all levels. I taught anatomy and dissection at UCD in Dublin which consisted of running tutorials and dissections. I particularly covered osteology, neuroanatomy, Skeletal muscle anatomy, as well as abdomen and pelvis (GI GU) anatomy.
Additionally I have had previous experience teahcing a variety of age groups and have helped to tutor people I know for Biology and Chemistry GCSE, as well as havingsome previous experience doing speech and language work with primary students.
I base my lessons around what the tutee needs and I can easily adopt my style to each individual's learning needs and preferences. I like to prepare resources for students to look at and take to help them outside of study hours, create quizzes, and teach core concepts as well as useful mnemonics to help submit the gross anatomy to memory. I also provide useful examination tips for anatomy exams in the spotter test style.
Please feel free to contact me with any queeries. My times are very flexible and additional slots in my timetable can be discussed.
Heather :)
