I employ a highly holistic, student-centred approach to teaching, baseline assessing working levels on initial contact to enable me to tailor a programme to the individual. Demonstration is a valuable asset but in art it’s essential to give the learner freedom of exploration and encourage them to take risks before employing reflective practice to signpost routes for development.
