Advert description
I am Giovanni Minuto from Rome, Italy.
I teach italian since many years in Italy and Cameroon. I have been teaching in many centers for refugees and asylum seekers in central Italy . I worked eight years as Italian teacher for the Caritas of Rome, we had courses for immigrants and refugees and for all of them we were the only chance to learn a language they had to use in everyday life. I started online courses for Inforcoop Ecipa Italy, for a Language School in India and for a group of teachers from South Africa.
In the different schools where I teach I am managing the daily programs, the level tests, the new teachers training and the general organisation of duties and timetable.
I have good knowledge of didactic theories on foreign languages .I often follow seminars for Italian teachers.
My teaching method is based on the communicative method, which is the one who gives the best results and also an active involvement of the students with an interaction among them.
When I was in Cameroon for nearly two years I managed the Italian courses in two schools. I had to start from zero because in the private lyceum they had old fashion way of teaching which is common in many African countries, my students were happy to see me because I made them play and relax for a while and get the chance to learn a new language in a different way.
I taught in the Centro Italiano in Yaoundé where I had motivated students who worked hard to get the B2 level which is required to apply to the Italian Universities. I prepared the language tests and most of my students were successful and got the Study Visa for Italy.
I held study seminars on the Italian society and way of living at Bamenda University in Cameroon.
