Year 12 Student with 50+ hours of peer-mentoring experience and grade 9's in both maths and further maths GCSE.

I have volunteered as a Peer-mentor in maths lessons and in my school's homework club for 3 hours every week for an year, helping students in KS3 with math questions. Maths as a subject is often misjudged however showing students the underlying logic and letting them attempt questions, struggle through them and finally solve them helps build long-lasting skills necessary to tackle the subject. I strongly believe in letting students try to find answers at their own pace and understand how to solve questions since this builds a far better foundation.
