~A professional Chinese Mandarin tutor is able to teach online or at your home if your base is within 5 miles in the Reading area~

I am a professional Chinese teacher who was born in Taiwan. I am able to teach both traditional and simplified characters (whether it's pinyin or Taiwanese phonetic notation). Currently, I am based in the UK, in Reading, Berkshire.

I obtained a Master’s Degree in MSc International Hospitality Management, from Sheffield Hallam University. As a keen lifelong learner, I completed my Postgraduate Diploma with Merit in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language at SOAS University, London.

In the last five years, I have had over 3000 hours of online teaching experience (including crossed-timezone teaching).

In addition to these 3000 online hours, I have also had physical teaching experience in classroom environments. These environments have ranged from colleges to language schools, to private houses in the UK. I was also been engaged as a Chinese tutor at a renowned International School in Thailand for two years.
My students have been global and I have taught learners from Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, North America, South America, and Asia.

I approach all my teaching with a professional attitude, my online classroom environment is structured and presents my students with the best possible opportunity to immerse themselves in the learning experience. I have high expectations for all my students, and I always establish a clear, firm set of goals for what success should look like. My teaching methods are consistent, and I strive to create the ideal positive learning environment to get the best possible results for my students.

I am passionate about teaching, and I am currently teaching Chinese for a London college of further education and as a private tutor under a private teaching engagement.
