I provide individual support for children at all levels of attainment, to ensure they make progress and develop independence in their approach to learning. As relationships with children develop over time, I find that I can provide more low-key individualised and spontaneous support within lessons, which can be very successful. This has been found to be particularly useful in case of EAL children. Having gained a great deal of teaching experience in the last 22 years that I have been in the profession, I have a good understanding of children’s behaviour. My key strengths as a teacher are patience and my understanding of each student’s individual needs including those who find the school environment a challenge, socially and emotionally.
