Hello! My name is Charlotte Wells, I am 18 years old and I am enrolled in the University of Reading. I was born in England as the daughter of a foreign parent; I am very familiar with helping my mother to perfect her spelling and grammar in work emails to allow her to sound as refined as possible, whilst also being understanding that she won’t always succeed the first time. I am very confident in my English abilities, with a 9 in English Literature and an 8 in English Language. I am no stranger to the world of this complex and beautiful language. As a young child, I was always put into the class of the year above for English, and I have always got a book in my hand. I am happy to assist anyone learning the language, regardless of their level, and I will approach any tutee with calmness and understanding. As far as experience goes, I worked at the library for 2 summers helping children with dyslexia, and always gave the English department a helping hand on Open Days. With various methods that supersede flashcards and note-taking, I am eager to share my revision methods that work for the individual student, as I am aware (first hand) that students learn at different rates and with different methods.
