Psychology Teacher, Examiner and Tutor for AQA A-Level Psychology

Hello, I am an experienced Psychologist, Teacher and Examiner offering private and group online A Level Psychology tuition for AQA. I have a degree in Psychology and have taught the subject at GCSE and A Level for 20 years, I have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), am fully DBS checked and insured to work online or in person. I have also worked as an examiner for AQA for the past 17 years on paper 1 and 3 as well as at GCSE level. One of the hardest aspects of the AQA exam is not always the content but also HOW to answer questions so I use my Examining knowledge and experience to also focus on this in the sessions.

I have taught in a number institutions including comprehensive schools, independent colleges and grammar schools. This has given me experience working with students from all backgrounds and levels of ability. I incorporate a variety of different techniques into my sessions, such as past paper questions, content tests, planning, recall and marking exercises, to name but a few, so they can be tailored to the learning styles of the tutees.

I am also a qualified Therapeutic Coach and believe the breadth and depth of my skills and knowledge are highly essential and beneficial for students not just in their exam success but also in their overall mental health and wellbeing!

Using my skills and experience I have tutored many students who have gone on to do extremely well in their A levels and future endeavours!

I use a wide range of techniques in my sessions in order to best meet the needs and teaching styles of my students. A document of completed and future tasks is available for students afterwards to extend their learning. I am more than happy to also help students between sessions with any questions, problems or extra work they may need support with.
