Advert description
I have recently just finished my bachelor's degree in Spanish and contemporary Chinese studies where I also studied in Spain for one semester at La Universidad de Pablo De Olavide.
I have experience working as a Part-Time Spanish Teacher at Bilborough College where I facilitated A-level students’ mastery of Spanish, tailoring instruction to individual learning needs.
I was also an online Tutor for English literature, language, and Spanish at My Tutor
Conducted over 30 personalised tutoring sessions at various academic levels, fostering students’ academic growth.
My teaching style focuses a lot on interactive games, storytelling, music and active participation through conversation, rather than just focusing on memorisation, I believe that language acquisition should happen more organically through imagery, sound and interaction. I also make sure students take part in informal assessments. I am also attuned to being a "guide on the side" rather than a "sage on the stage". This approach allows me to help students directly and allow them to scaffold their learning independently rather than just speaking at them through an activity, I allow them to try the activity by themselves and if necessary, I will become the guide on the side and walk them through the activity.
