Advert description
Im currently in my third year studying mechanical engineering at Flinders University and have never really tutored before but I've got a bit of a story. I look to travel the world following the completion of my degree and potentially teach in countries everywhere. I loved high-school and had a great relationship with my peers and teachers, excelling in most of my subjects (completing 2 levels of maths and physics) and achieved a good grade (99.75 out of a possible 99.95) after graduating. Nowadays, if I'm not grinding lectures or labs or attending tutorials and workshops I'm out skating, swimming at the beach or enjoying a cold one with my mates.
Maths and Physics
I honestly just love the numbers and using formula and methodology to achieve answers. I'll tell you something, there is no better feeling than smashing lines of maths and getting to an answer that checks out. I've always loved working with people and sharing thought processes (especially when mine helps), and as we all know maths is a universal language. Listen, following scientific procedure and manipulating mathematic equations isn't that scary, I drew Morty with graphs using polar equations for a specialist maths assignment in year 12.
English
English was my favourite subject. I know I study engineering and thats heaps of maths and physics, but writing... that was fun. We all love our english teacher. Analysing text is pretty funky when you actually see, feel, and think about everything the author or director intended. Think about it this way, theres a word called sonder or "everyone around you is living a life as vivid and complex as your own." So think about a movie or a book, everyone has their own interpretation of the story, especially the person who made it. Creative writing was more for pleasure. Those assignments took little to no time and I reckon are representations of personality and interpretation of life infused with the sophistication of good english.
I've never done this but I 100% think we can do this.
