Spanish Language Teacher that offers fun and dynamic classes for people from all ages and backgrounds

I am postgraduate international student that is finishing his Master's degree in Advanced Marketing. Born and raised in Mexico, I completed a double degree Bachelor's in Business Administration in prestigious Universities in Mexico and the UK. Across my different years of study, I have always had a passion for learning new languages and meeting people from different cultures. Such interest for exploring things outside my own ethnic and cultural background led me to follow a professional path outside my home country.

My interest in languages from a young age has led me to speak not only Spanish and English, but also French (Intermediate) and German (Beginner). For this reason, last year I volunteered as a Spanish Teacher for Postgraduate students (Beginners Proficiency) in a Language Programme that was initiated by the Graduate College from my University. In this programme, I was lucky enough to keep my classes running for over a period of 6 months (despite the busy schedules of the different postgraduate programmes that all students and myself had). My classes were designed so that people from any background could start learning the Spanish Language from the very basics. Moreover, given all of my students were Master's and Phd students my intention was to make the class a safe space were they could come once a week to relax a learn a bit more about a new language (while also having fun). My classes covered different topics, ranging from the most basic ones such as teaching them the alphabet, numbers, family and working relationships, verb conjugation, food, among others. Furthermore, I designed many of my classes to be 1)highly interactive (foster participation) and 2)with practical uses (creation of real life scenarios where students may apply what they learn). Although this may sound too complex or scary for people who are just starting to learn the language, I guarantee you that designing classes this way allow my students to learn to speak as if they were in real life situations and gain confidence over time. To conclude, my spanish classes are designed to allow anyone to commence the adventure of learning a language that is spoken in more than 21 countries around the world and which learning it will open the door for fantastic new things such as movies, music, cultures and people.
