Maths should be made simple and understandable - if we understand why we are doing something we don't make silly mistakes.

Teaching is something I really enjoy - I have been lucky to have some brilliant teachers in life and all of them taught me one golden rule. If you can understand the concept before you you attempt questions and advanced application you will be able to solve the problem with much more confidence. If you start memorising parrot fashion, you will come unstuck when faced with a difficult question you haven't seen before. My aim is to help students understand why we are doing things using example questions and theories so that it is no longer an intimidating subject.
