Advert description
I finished MBA in Accounting in 2005 and I started to work in a private bank in Bangladesh. Then I joined as a lecturer in accounting for teaching accounting modules at Government controlled colleges of Bangladesh in 2008. I was also promoted to assistant professor in 2018. So, I have a long-term previous experience of teaching different modules of accounting at undergraduate and postgraduate level under the national university of Bangladesh. I taught financial accounting, financial reporting and analysis, cost accounting, management accounting, auditing, accounting theory, business communication modules at different levels till 2014. After that I completed MSc Sustainability at the University of Leeds in 2015. Then I went back to Bangladesh and applied my knowledge in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. As I have already taught several accounting modules at different levels for about 10 years, I believe I have gained relevant knowledge and teaching experience on different branch of accounting for undergraduate and postgraduate level. This experience should help me to support the teaching objectives, supervise students and develop appropriate teaching approaches, assessment methods as well as the course proposals for the students.
On top of this, I started my Masters+ PhD at Essex University in 2019 to investigate the role of corporate sustainability reporting in the achievement of sustainable development goals. It will also improve the perception on how the global firms are contributing to the achievement of water centric SDG targets for the implementation of SDG-6 and SDG-14. Furthermore, I attended a good number of research seminars and conferences during my study at Essex. These academic involvements enhance my knowledge and research experience in several contemporary issues of Accounting which will enable myself to develop teaching materials and styles. So, I should be considered well fitted for the position of accounting tutor.
