Mathematics and physics enthusiast looking to help students adopt the right mindset for solving problems

Advert description
I would start by addressing what specifically the student struggles with and decompose the problems into simpler and digestible ones allowing the student to grow and apply what they know in more complex situations. I believe strong fundamentals are the key to any solution In the practical sense of the real world and in the theoretical world of tests and research

The average lesson would be 2 hours with a 10 minute break by the end of the first hour, we’d first setup a technical criteria based on what the student is struggling with or interested in this though freely subject to change would be what we use to guide most of not all lessons.

I like to use YouTube as my source of informative video to aid in teaching, 15 minutes on average. when broken up into shorter segments with plenty of chances to pause and discuss throughout the video this method would allow my students to in-take different ways of teaching and understand what they need to learn more intuitively.

We’d then go through each point of the criteria with an equal distribution of examples and questions.

I believe the practical aspect of applying what you know to example questions and scenarios is a good way to judge a students progression and increase their confidence in using what they know. I can offer the most recent and relevant exam papers or craft my own custom papers not only for optional homework but to go through in class, again to improve confidence and precision.

My lessons can vary greatly based on the student, all I would need is an initial discussion to understand their background and what approach is best when trying to teach them in the most efficient and effective way possible

I studied A levels, maths, chemistry and physics with an AS in further maths, I am currently waiting to start my masters degree in physics this year. I think there is a lot to be gained mutually as teaching helps me understand these concepts so I can apply them in my life and it help others learn where I was helped by online tutors
