One of the primary reason students fail is lack of confidence. It is not unusual for students to give up asking questions and disengaging - especially when they are given the same rote answer (which was meaningless first time round.) We all learn differently. The answer is not to teach first. But to listen, understand and then inspire. I started my career as a City solicitor so I also have strong analytical skills. I am not only a coach but also an accredited CBT hypnotherapist so can support more anxious students or those with a slightly more complex life situation.
