Advert description
I have a PGCE which I specialise in Religious Studies and a BA(Hons) Religious Studies degree.
I have been teaching for seven years and I have worked within two comprehensive systems. Although my primary subject is within Religious Studies, I have also taught Humanities, Business Studies, Welsh Baccalaureate, History, Health and Well-Being and Health and Social Care.
In Wales, we are trained to be both teachers of our specialist subjects but also teacher of Literacy and Mathematics. We must implement both literacy and mathematics into my lessons where they are appropriate and will up-skill the learner.
Within my lessons, you will find an engaging and enthusiastic teacher (Me!), challenging but differentiated work to suit your needs, a high level of communication and listening skills, along with an empathetic and motivating approach.
I have worked with many different types of people from various backgrounds and needs. I have worked with moderate learning difficulties to learners who are more able and talented within their learning. I am well-versed in various additional learning needs and I am able to adapt my lessons and resources to suit my learners.
I have had many literacy and numeracy training sessions with my schools CPD sessions and I have worked alongside other colleagues to promote and share good practice within the schools I have worked in.
As a teacher, I am thorough, hard-working and able to motivate and enthuse even the tougher of learners. I do not give up easily and I will research areas where I need to improve to make sure I am being an excellent teacher for my learners.
