Advert description
I am a graduate of BSc Psychology and have also worked with GCSE, A Level and International Baccalaureate students in a range of subjects from English and Humanities to Chemistry. I have worked with SEN and EAL students and believe that confidence building and patience is an important part of the learning process through tutoring! I can help with Psychology statistics and mathematics guidance, as well as linguistic skills and problem solving.
Teaching through tutoring is a chance to work on skills that the classroom can be a bit speedy at times to nurture. It’s important that my students feel a sense of freedom to express ideas verbally with me. I am able to help create a sense of direction in return and knowledge of subjects. We can work on how you can prepare for exams and/or continuous growth in particular subjects.
I find it useful when first meeting to identify both challenging and confident areas for my students, to identify together how best to spend the time. We will have a clear goal for the end of each session with aims for the classroom/lectures to grow into the next session. I find it important as a tutor to stay adaptable as we are both learning together!
