One of the effective way to learn is to generate questions about the topic you are going to study. Suppose you want to study about algebra then you should ask why we need variables in math. How should we use them. How algebra help us in real life. By generating such questions you will give your brain a type of command to search for answer and then you will take interest in learning and will understand the topic holistically.
