I am a professional musician I have worked in the music industry for 22/23 years as a musical director, music tutor, mentor in music, done workshops music therapy. My academic qualifications are HND Modern Musicianship and B.A Applied Music Degree, Grade 2 Theory of Music Certificate with a Merit Pass. I can play from memory mainly and can read music fluently, I play piano; violin; penny whistle; guitar; organ; harmonica and keyboard. In my lessons I adapt to teaching major scales, natural minor scales, melodic scales and harmonic scales, also teaching how to count rhythms and pop songs. I have worked for Diane Mitchell School of Music in Paisley teaching violin and piano, worked in schools, African drums with Limelight Music and also acting, performing in Musical Theatre. I can also compose music, and I know how to improvise confidently. I have performed in the Strathclyde Symphony Orchestra, playing violin in the 8th desk. I have been playing keyboard since I was six and started playing the church when I was 11 years old. I will on weaknesses of my pupils and build on their confidence, going over pieces till I get them to a high standard. I been involved in talent competitions and auditioned for Michael Barrymore's My Kind of People. I have also played harmonica and organ on Andy Cameron's Radio Show and worked with Tony Roper from Rab C Nesbitt and Isla from Still Game as her musical director on the Steamie 25th Anniversary tour in Scotland.
