Hello! My name is Sam, I am a keen percussionist and singer with over five years' experience in teaching music and arts. I have graduated from Oxford with a First Class BA in Music, and recently completed an MSt in Musicology, also from Oxford.

I believe that music is learned best when it isn't learned by rote. I don't believe in practice for the sake of practice, just to tick a box. Rather, I aim to equip students with the tools and knowledge they need to understand, appreciate, and create music independently. I aim to make lessons as engaging as possible, so that students can develop an organic love and enjoyment for music while also learning how to become better musicians.

Lessons are usually one hour long, but I am able to offer longer or shorter lessons depending on the student's needs.
