Oxford Academic offering tuition in English language and literature, Film Theory and Academic Writing

I am a freelance post-doctoral academic based in Oxford with a PhD in Film Studies (University of Kent), an MA in Film Studies (UCL) and an BA in English and Film Studies (University of Stirling).

I have taught English in a number of countries in Europe and the far East and hold a certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA).

I currently teach at Oxford University's Department for Continuing Education and at Oxford Brookes University.

I have in-person and online experience of teaching 1:1 tutorials, small seminar groups, and conducting lectures. I have taught across all age groups from as young as 4 to retired adults. I am highly motivated by the interaction of a learning environment and I'm always looking to adapt and improve my methods.

My specialism is film but this of course encompasses academic writing in English and I have experience of advising undergraduate students on their writing projects. I am very familiar with student administration, marking systems, and proofreading.
