Beginner to intermediate violin and viola lessons for all ages!

Advert description
Hi! I am an enthusiastic and passionate violinist and violist with many years experience teaching both private students and junior orchestral ensembles.

My teaching style is influenced by a passion for artistry and I aim to foster a lifelong love of music with a clear focus on developing strong playing technique and musicality. I strive to make violin and viola lessons a positive and enjoyable experience for all ages, and tailor each lesson to the individual needs of the student.

I am a classically trained musician and began learning violin at the age of four at the Australian Institute of Music in the Young Musicians Program, before joining the Rising Stars Program at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. As a teacher, I have held the role of Junior Strings Coordinator at a Sydney private school and, in my private lessons, have assisted students successfully prepare for and complete AMEB exams; the UK equivalent of which are the ABRSM or Trinity exams.

In my lessons, my approach is to be as flexible as I can to ensure the lesson is tailored to you. Whether you prefer to have a lesson in the comfort of your own home or online, that's fine by me! The same goes for length and regularity of lessons. I am more than happy to work with you to find what suits.

Somewhat tangentially - outside of music, I am a practicing lawyer who is taking a brief career break to complete my PhD / DPhil at the University of Oxford!
