Advert description
How do you feel about diagrams? As a teacher, I have a whiteboard function that I use a lot to draw out and explain different topics!
I find that visualising certain aspects of biology and chemistry can be a great way to understand them... and the more students understand a topic, the easier it is for them to remember it.
My lessons typically involve a general run through of the topic for that session - this helps to identify any problem areas right off the bat. Anything that appears difficult we can then go into more detail and form a proper understanding. Then we go through a couple questions together, and this allows us to discuss what the question is really looking for and the best way to answer it. If there's time, I usually allow the student to attempt a couple questions themselves and we can look through them either at the end of that session or review them for the next session.
That being said, every student has different ways that they prefer to learn. I can be adaptable and am happy to develop sessions that fit the needs of the student directly.
