Advert description
I bring a diverse set of skills and experiences, particularly in education and psychology, that make me well-suited for the role of an online tutor. My experience as a homeroom teacher involved creating lesson plans, guiding students through their coursework, and assessing their progress, giving me a strong foundation in curriculum design and individualized instruction.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have worked as a peer counselor and volunteer at Victim Support Scotland, where I developed critical skills in active listening, empathy, and psychological support. These roles required me to help students and clients navigate challenges both academically and emotionally which I believe is essential for supporting learners holistically.
Some of the key skills I bring include:
1. Educational Support and Mentoring: Proficient in guiding students while supporting their overall development
2. Counseling and Emotional Support: Adept at offering psychological support, helping students manage stress, and fostering their mental well-being to enable them to succeed academically.
3. Communication and Rapport Building: Skilled in creating a safe, open, and engaging learning environment through clear communication and empathetic listening ensuring that students feel comfortable and supported.
4. Teamwork and Collaboration: Effective at working collaboratively with educators and staff, as well as leading student activities.
Additionally, my ongoing master's degree in Psychological Studies with a focus on Mental Health equips me with advanced knowledge in cognitive development, well-being, and stress management, which enhance my ability to cater to the emotional and academic needs of students.
