Advert description
I have a lot of experience, including being an accredited IELTS consultant (written and oral), a TEFL certified teacher and having worked with a variety of organisations to produce online materials and online teaching platforms. I've both taught and trained teachers to apply online teaching methodology, (as well as teaching in a classroom environment), and I have videos and training materials outlining these principals. A critical factor is that lessons must be 'student focused' with students practicing and speaking and, (most of all), enjoying an immersive, student-centric experience, which obliterates their fear of speaking L2. Mistakes may be common place with new learners, however, this is a valuable process to learning a new language, because people learn from and by their mistakes - correction is important, but this should not deter a student from speaking. I use both "hot" and "cold" correction practices to facilitate this and to keep students active and engaged, whilst not deterring them from speaking. Body language is also important, including mine and gestures and the use of the cam itself to both hide and reveal answers along with props; these all being important and fun factors to engage and peak the interest of online learners :)
