Advert description
Teaching has always been something I´ve held close to my heart, at just 12 years old I began teaching general gymnastics to preschoolers. I was lucky enough to continue in this field of work for 8 years progressing on to competitive gymnastics ranging from 3-16 year olds. Throughout my time coaching I was able to truly grasp what being a teacher meant and how important that role is in our society. Whether it be someone we see everyday or just for a couple hours a week, we equally impact and influence our students both in their studies and personal life.
As a result of this I always try to keep teaching as something that students will look forward to. Lessons are kept fun, dynamic and interesting, always keeping in mind the goals and expectations we set for them. Developing positive rapports with my students and making sure that their needs are understood and met is my main priority, therefore I ensure to have briefing with students at the beginning of tutoring so that we are on the same page and that we can get to know each other more.
As a medical student currently studying at Imperial, I am able to empathise with the hardships that can come with studying at times, and equally the importance of education and profounding it. I believe there is comfort in knowing that the person guiding you has had similar experiences to you in school, and having completed my GCSE´S and A-levels in England, I am very familiar with the educational system and the content of the subjects being taught.
I am also fluent in Spanish and currently at B1 level of French, and happy to offer language tutoring in any of these.
Finally, I also offer tutoring/advice for prospective medical students. This includes UCAS personal statement, BMAT, UCKAT and any other queries that you may have.
