Enthusiastic, engaged and energetic year 13 Student, offering GCSE and AS tutoring!

I have many years experience of teaching, both individually as a reading mentor at my school, and in group settings as a Cadet corporal for St John Ambulance. These two experiences, among a handful of informal tutoring relationships I have maintained with friends or younger family members have taught me how to accurately assess the needs of a tutee, and tailor my teaching specifically to them. I achieved all grade 9s in my GCSEs after great effort, and would love to pass on the techniques I used to achieve these grades to my students. I would tutor in GCSE Maths, Science, English and French, but am also open to tutoring AS Psychology. I would start each tutoring course by assessing the students current knowledge, asking them questions to determine their needs in terms of exam preparation and technique, and then a tutoring plan would be made for each individual. Although my teaching is focused on the development of exam-suitable skills, I will also work with the student to develop a teaching and learning style which helps them to enjoy the subject and the process of learning, and tailoring each session to meet the needs of my client.
