I am a Cambridge-certified ESL tutor with experience teaching students from Pre-Intermediate through to Upper Intermediate

My teaching style has been described as dynamic, engaging and empathetic. I work best with smaller classes or one on one, as my teaching style is highly student-centred - rather than lecturing, I prefer to maximise student talk-time by facilitating group discussions, or sorting learners into pairs to work on activities together. When working one on one, I try to focus on the student's needs: specifically, what aspect of English they want to focus on (i.e. present perfect, vocab related to careers, etc) and why. I then work with the student to figure out a personalised lesson plan that will benefit them. I'm based in Norwich and can teach online or in person.
