Primary Teacher - Emotional Intelligence, phonics, reading, writing, science/project, basic maths to the primary ages

I have been teaching children ages 5 to 8 for over 10 years now. I am currently working as a grade 2 teacher and I am also part of the management team in an alternative primary setting in Bali but I am originally from England.
I believe that learning should be fun and that children should be able to have a say in what they learn and the way they learn it - I am able to cater children's interests and their style of learning into the activities that I plan for them.
I specialise in teaching phonics to support reading and writing and also teaching children to understand their emotions and ways of coping with their emotions. I could also cover a range of topics such as art, science, learning about nature and our environment or specific animals for example, at the primary level, and set projects for them to complete in their own time.
I have a fun approach to teaching and want my students to enjoy learning too by understanding that mistakes are okay and building confidence! A love of learning will set children up for success when they reach their adult life.
