Learn to Program in Python or Visual Basic

I am currently studying for my Master's degree in Computer Forensics and have recently started teaching Key Stage 5 ,A Level Computer Science. I have completed the Certificate in GCSE Computer Science Subject Knowledge run by The National Centre for Computing Education BCS, and The Chartered Institute for IT. These experiences have further enhanced my knowledge of the subject and allowed me to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field. I am proficient and have experience teaching coding in Python, Visual Basic, and am confident in teaching algorithms. I have also studied and passed ECDL Essentials and Advanced.

In my current role as a Computer Science teacher, I have developed strong skills in knowledge of hardware, software development, Data analysis, and Maths (teaching A level Computer Science), as well as experience organizing and facilitating enrichment clubs and overseeing the Computing department. I am also an ECT mentor and play an important role in supporting an early career teacher's (ECT's) progress and development. I am confident in my ability to teach a range of Computing and Digital Technology lessons and have a strong focus on integrating technology into my lessons to help raise pupil attainment and motivation. I am also committed to staying up-to-date with changes in the national curriculum and regularly attend professional development opportunities to further my skills.

I have a strong understanding of effective curriculum planning, assessment, and target setting approaches and am proficient in using emerging technologies to support teaching and learning. I am also well-versed in behaviour management strategies and have a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection processes and procedures. In my current role, I have a track record of raising standards of achievement and experience working with students across the entire ability range.

In addition to my academic and professional experience, I am an active participant in extra-curricular activities and have a genuine passion for the potential of every student. I believe that it is important to create a challenging and effective learning environment that empowers students to achieve
