Advert description
I have a BA degree in Psychology and several trainings in Math and Arithmetic. I have more than six years experience working with children. For the past two years I have been teaching arithmetic and other math functions, for the International Academy Brainobrain, working with over 200 children aged 4-14 years old.
Besides this I also have been tutoring private math lessons to children who need additional lessons to support their improvement at school.
As an early math tutor, I would provide my students with foundational knowledge and skills related to math. I will support them with the concepts of numbers and quantities, including counting, comparing numbers, and basic arithmetic operations like addition and subtraction, also introduce them to the concepts of measurement and geometry, including units of measurement, spatial relationships, and basic shapes. Moreover I will help students recognize patterns and relationships in numbers, shapes, and objects, which help children develop problem-solving skills by teaching them to identify problems, gather information, and apply mathematical concepts to find solutions.
During our lessons I would encourage students to think critically about math concepts and to ask questions, analyze information, and evaluate different strategies. This would help them to develop their critical and analytic thinking.
I am very dedicated to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters children's curiosity, confidence, and interest in mathematics, by adding additional activities like attractive educational worksheets, topic related videos and games.
Combining my background in psychology is crucial for me to comprehensively comprehend my students' requirements and learning patterns. This, in turn, enables me to provide them with the proper assistance and support they need.
I promise my classes would provide a highly productive, enjoyable, and friendly learning atmosphere.
