Maths tutor for students between year 10 and 11

I am currently a first-year student at the University of Bath, pursuing a BSc in Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Science. With a passion for teaching, I have accumulated nine months of experience tutoring foundation students in Pure Mathematics and Further Mathematics from December 2022 to August 2023.

During this period, I have successfully assisted my students in achieving their desired scores. For instance, one of my students initially received a D in the end-of-semester 1 exam. However, through my tutoring, she not only improved her understanding but also attained an A, securing admission to her dream school.

I am dedicated to ensuring my students comprehend challenging concepts and can apply them to various tasks. I prioritize their success, often going above and beyond by putting in overtime when necessary. I firmly believe that in a paid role, tangible outcomes should be the result of dedicated effort and commitment.

I possess a remarkable aptitude for imparting mathematical concepts to students who may find numbers and formulas initially challenging. My teaching methodology is structured and effective, beginning with a comprehensive explanation of fundamental concepts. Following this, I guide my students through the process of memorizing key formulas and concepts.

An essential aspect of my approach involves reinforcing understanding through active engagement. I encourage my students to articulate and explain the learned concepts and formulas, fostering a deeper comprehension of the material. This interactive process ensures that the knowledge is not merely memorized but thoroughly understood.

Moreover, I emphasize the application of knowledge by prompting my students to solve problems and provide proofs.
