Physics tutor for all levels from GCSE to MSc. I can also include instruction in mathematics and electrical engineering

Advert description
I have a BSc in Astrophysics, which includes core modules in Physics. I also have an MSc in opto-electronics, which includes modules on physics (optics) and electrical engineering. My previous jobs as a research assistant and as a technician involved working face-to face with individual students and small groups. This was largely support for their practical projects, giving advice on the design and applications of the knowledge learnt in classes. This also included the mathematics and use of computer software required in their design process.
From my previous experience with these students, my first lesson (or more, if necessary) would identify topics, where the student would need extra support, perhaps due to difficulties with this topic. For students studying at A-level or higher, quantum mechanics often presents difficulties, and I have had to overcome these myself. From this point, a customised schedule would by planned, based on the syllabus appropriate for the level the student is studying at. I can provide prepared notes. I already have notes on a wide range of topics within physics, and I could make notes based on these, appropriate to the level I would be teaching at. In parallel with this, I can provide problems for the student to solve, and then assess their answers and provide my own answers to the problems, as well as further guidance. Some of my work involved setting up design calculations in software, such as Excel. This could be useful to illustrate physical processes in the form of graphs, etc., and would allow the student to work with them interactively. Examples from the internet could also be used, including setting problems that would require finding information from websites..
Another main activity, particularly when working as a research assistant, was contributing to projects on renewable energy and electric vehicles. This included projects on solar energy, wind energy, and upgrading the electrical grid to support this new generation. I could bring examples of this technology, and the related issue of climate change, into the lessons.
My interest in astronomy began in early childhood, and I have also had an interest in spaceflight for much of this period. I could bring interesting examples of all these applications into my tuition in physics.
