Excellent English Teacher

I have gained over a decade of experience teaching English to learners from around the world. I have also worked for a French corporate language training company as an accomplished bilingual (English/French) Business English Trainer teaching staff of multinationals around the world.

I have lived and worked in the UK, the US and France and have US, UK and EU citizenship and understand the cultural differences around the world.

I have taught learners from many of the industry leading companies in the Finance, Tech, Energy, Engineering, Pharma... sectors in Europe, S.America, China, Japan, Indonesia and further afield. A large proportion of my learners have been French speakers. Prior to this I was an Executive Search Consultant recruiting IT and Life Sciences executives globally at senior level.

For the past ten years, I have taught employees at all levels interview skills, presentation
skills, business terminology as well as vocabulary, grammar and
sector-specific terminology to prepare them for official examinations in line with the CEFR and other global business language standards.

I have continued to hone my communication and interpersonal skills throughout my career. As a Corporate Business English trainer I spend much of my day speaking on the telephone and analysing the learner’s professional background, their linguistic profile needs and goals, sharpening my cross-sector industry knowledge and writing lesson reports.

I have taught English as a Teaching Assistant at secondary school level in two colleges in
Montpellier, France and completed a six week language immersion programme in Québec with the University of Ottawa, Canada.

I have a Linguistics and French degree from UMIST (top degree mark on course) and taught English for a year in Montpellier as a Teaching Assistant in two secondary schools.

I would like to continue to use my foreign language skills (degree level French & Linguistics, GCSE level Spanish, German, Latin and I believe that I bring with me a set of valuable linguistic skills, a decade of teaching experience specifically with many French learners and demonstrable and verifiable personal traits that align with your needs.
