I am a current graduate student enrolled in an MFA program for painting. Much of my previous work experience involved a heavy focus on writing. I enjoy thinking deeply about art, psychology, and philosophy and carrying those subjects into my writing pract

Advert description
From November 2019 through April 2023 I worked full-time for Magazzino Italian Art in Cold Spring, NY, based largely in their NYC office. I began as Executive Assistant and then moved on to a position as External Affairs Coordinator, working closely with the Executive Director and the development department as we launched our fundraising and membership campaigns. My work at Magazzino was heavily focused on writing and I helped guide the directorial and development departments in communication from personal correspondences to more generalized emails that incorporated our evolving mission statement and strategies at drawing attention to the niche institution, whose core collection contained works from the Arte Povera movement of Postwar Italy. Prior to working at Magazzino, I was Managing Editor at The Urban Glass Art Quarterly, a publication presenting serious discourse on glass as a medium for contemporary art. I have some experience tutoring ESL privately in Italy, where I lived from 2015-2018, during which time I also frequently contributed to travel publications about destinations in Rome and wider Italy. I would love to take what I have learned from all of these experiences and work with students on any and all written materials in order to encourage their growth as writers and assist in strengthening their applications to colleges and universities. As a tutor, I would focus on imparting methods for structuring essays that give them power and originality and on crafting sentences that are both grammatically sound and draw interest.
