Advert description
I use an interactive approach to PowerPoint lessons that keeps students engaged through nemonics and chunking of complex concepts. I incorporate eye-catching graphics, food analogies tied to specific steps, and rhyming or acronym mnemonics for memory retention alongside succinct text overviews. Additionally, I divide longer processes or theories into small chunks across 10-15 slides to check understanding piece-by-piece, using quick student assessment features like multiple choice questions, polls, or chat responses to reinforce the most crucial parts. Keeping students active with visual, verbal and assessment components caters to different learning styles in one lesson. These digestible, interactive slides allow students to gain awareness of the whole by exploring its composite parts. My use of imaginative analogies and easy-to-grasp mnemonic aids also taps into students' prior knowledge, giving new information familiar hooks to cling to. I revisit any summary slides where less than 80% of the class answered correctly until mastered before connecting it to the next concept chunk. Adapting my content delivery and comprehension checks based on real-time feedback data helps ensure durable understanding.
