I am a fluent English speaker and I also enjoy teaching English and helping people improve in many different ways

I completed my Education and Childcare Level 3 at Nelson and Colne College and through this course I did placements in a schools and day car/nursery. I have completed placement in Reception and Primary School in-In the Reception placement I helped children if they were struggling with their activity, and I also marked some books and made sure the children had completed their work. I am fluent in four languages, Spanish, Urdu, Punjabi, and English this allows me to communicate with children who speak these languages in placement. This gave me an opportunity to help one of the children in my placement as he needed support in learning English because he was from Italy, but he also spoke Punjabi. I helped a child by translating what the teacher was saying in Punjabi so the child would understand what to do. Another child that I worked with was struggling in reading and writing so I would read books to her to expand her vocabulary and I would help her write small sentences. The third child struggled in spelling words, and he had low level of concentration, so I tried to make the activity more fun for the child by communicating with him. I am currently doing placement in a nursery, I have been in the babies' room and in the toddlers' room, this has allowed me to become more creative as I've planned activities for children.
I am currently in university and i have just completed my first year of Primary Education with QTS. This year I did placement for 8 weeks in a primary school year 1 class and this placement has allowed me to gain many new skills such as, confidence, good listening, and communication skills, being organised and although my time management is good it has become better as I had to arrive early to make sure everything is ready before the children come in. I enjoy working in primary schools as I like helping children and making sure they reach the best of their ability and receive the help they need. In this placement I also translated for parents sometimes and for children too. I worked with a lot of people in my placement, so this has allowed me to ask for help whenever I needed it. I also went into school once during the holidays to make sure I have everything prepared for after the holidays.
