My lessons will be as engaging and interactive as possible, using a variety of digital tools. I am young, friendly and approachable and have a strong passion for digital teaching and learning. Early on I will identify your strengths and weaknesses and set regular targets to ensure your goals are being achieved. I will explain the content in a fun and engaging manner and we will complete digital quizzes at the end of each lesson to ensure you have understood - we then know what we need to work on next lesson. I also have a wealth of experience marking external exam papers so I can provide invaluable advice when it comes to those all important assessments! More detail on myself can be found below (if you fancy a read!)...

Training & Education

I have graduated from Swansea University with a First Class Honours LL.B Law Degree and a Distinction in Legal Practice (LPC). I have also graduated from the University of South Wales with a Distinction in the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and currently teach at university level as a Tutor in Law at Swansea University (Equity & Trusts and Criminal Law). I am currently completing my PhD in Business Law and Criminal Justice.

Experience

I have over three years conveyancing experience; I worked at Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP whilst completing my LPC and for a year afterwards. I have an excellent relationship with Eversheds and work closely with them to increase student opportunities such as work placements, training contracts and networking events. I have always worked along-side studying; I believe I have excellent time-management and organisation skills and this is reflected in my academic grades and the relationships I still maintain with my previous employers. I now have over four years teaching experience (in A Level, Access (Adults) and University) - this includes both face to face and online teaching.

Skills and Knowledge

I believe that I demonstrate excellent oral and written skills; my favourite element of teaching is pastorally coaching the students to reach and go beyond their full potential. I understand the importance of regular, formative assessment and feedback. I have a passion for digital technology and incorporate this well into my teaching strategies. Whilst I was a Lecturer at Gower College Swansea, I was also a ‘Digital Peer Mentor’ and taught the other staff how to teach online effectively during the pandemic. I love experimenting with new digital tools and was recognised by Microsoft as a ‘Microsoft Innovative Education Expert’ in 2021 for my passion for digital teaching and learning. I am extremely confident with Office 365 and use video conferencing on a daily basis.
