Advert description
I am a versatile educator, with over 13 years of experience teaching foreign languages including, Spanish, French and English. I was born in Colombia and part of my family is French. After high school I lived in Paris, where I studied French Language and Civilisation, at La Sorbonne University, and have ever since being teaching Spanish and French.
Throughout my career I had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of students ranging from young children to undergraduates and high-level professionals. As a result, I have developed a strong capacity to adapt to learners’ specific needs, in multicultural contexts, using effective listening and creative approaches to keep students focused and motivated. For instance, during my Bachelor Studies in Languages, I developed a teaching methodology for children and youth to learn Spanish and French using comics and slangs.
My qualifications include a Masters in Multicultural College Teaching and Learning from the University of Minnesota (US), where I created a learning method based on advertisements for Spanish courses, as a result from research in the Department of Spanish. I am also a – Commissioner in the Ministry of Education in Colombia for the Final State Foreign Language and Mother Tongue Examinations, a DELF Examiner approved by the French Ministry of Education, and have great experience in training students for taking DELE Examination. In one of my previous roles, as full-time Teacher and Scientific Area Coordinator in a public university in Colombia, I designed the foreign language curriculum for under and post graduate students.
Patient, ongoing, dynamic, and highly interested in keeping you updated with tghe latest trends of Spanish and/or French in a very entertaining manner.
