Advert description
About Me: I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2019 with a degree in veterinary science and I have been working as a veterinary surgeon for the last 3 years. During this time I have had the pleasure of teaching many veterinary students in both a 1 on 1 setting as well as in small group settings. These experiences have ignited a passion for teaching students as I have found teaching to be a very rewarding process and this has driven me to pursue tutoring. I adore working with students in a 1 on 1 setting and getting to spend time breaking down concepts for students to understand while seeing their confidence in their knowledge grow.
About the lessons: I use a mixture of the syllabus and past paper questions to teach students not only the course subject matter but also how to apply it in an exam setting. I work with students to identify areas which they’re struggling with and to help them learn it at their pace as well as advise how they can structure their revision in their own time to best maximise what they have covered with me.
I believe in working with students in order to bring out the best of their abilities and endeavour to bring a positive and encouraging approach to learning. From experience, I have found that students will understand their course material better if they are allowed to express their thinking and be allowed to make mistakes without feeling like they are being judged. I will regularly check in with my students to check that they are getting the best learning experience they can from me while also discussing how they can further their own learning.
If you want to see if I am the right tutor for your child, please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss your child and their needs. I have a clear DBS check and have completed the NSPCC tutoring safeguarding training. The first tutoring lesson is free so I can get to know your child and their learning style. I look forward to meeting you!
