How I used to help out in the youth club I volunteered at was by finding out what level the person is at through a conversation first to get to know each other and break the ice, then I would have a small jam with them and see for myself their playing style and preferred genre. After this I’d adjust a lesson plan around them personally going forward and focus on chord work or scales depending on their level and what they personally would like to learn. I have played lead and rhythm guitar in many different types of ensembles and have been playing for 8 years, I am currently studying for my grade 8 in guitar through rock school.
