I am an experienced tutor who has worked with young people of all ages up to 18 in schools, in residential settings and on TV/Film productions. I also work 1 to 1 work with adult dyslexic students at university. I have examined for Edexcel, been a trainer for Teachers TV, and was a secondary head of year and a primary school governor. As a member of the Dyslexia Guild, which involves extra training and yearly CPD, I am a big advocate for exploring approaches to learning to motivate and engage those for whom academic learning has been a struggle due to barriers to learning such as dyslexia . I have a good sense of humour and believe patience and humour are vital when working one-on-one with young people to make them feel able to show their weaknesses in a session without fear of judgement.
