Advert description
Music theory can seem overly complicated but is actually fairly straight forward and intuitive once you approach it from a different angle. And that's where I come in!
As someone who never learnt well from theory books and unnecessarily wordy explanations, I took a less traditional approach to theory, which lead to me learning the same things as my peers, whilst also developing my intuitive skills.
What is important is understanding how your brain breaks down and retains information SPECIFIC TO YOU.
Despite my lack of a traditional pathway, I came out top of my class for composition and musical analysis skills. And this is because I redirected all of my attention to what truly matters for any musician, UNDERSTANDING MUSIC.
Alongside GCSE and A-Level music, I have studied a wide range of subjects (maths, computer science, sports, languages, etc.) with the same approach which makes me confident I can help you understand the principles of music; regardless of how your brain is wired.
I have many years of experience working on a 1-to-1 basis for a range of subjects, so you can trust you are in good hands!
Online lessons mainly, can do in-person lessons later down the line for those local to Central Manchester/South Manchester. This opportunity is geared more towards beginners upto GCSE level, but not limited to formally studying musicians. Do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
