Advert description
I have taught in three of the UK’s top independent schools and have experience of managing a chemistry department, spanning over twenty-five years in two of these schools.
I have extensive examining experience (more than 30 years). I have delivered workshops to teachers in Egypt, China, Jordan and UAE. I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).
I am passionate about promoting Chemistry both in school and in the wider community and have been involved in projects at both local and national level. I have worked with ‘Gifted and Talented’ pupils as a Salters’ Chemistry camp lead teacher and have also been able to inspire non-specialist teachers through the Royal Society of Chemistry ‘Chemistry for Non-Specialist Course’. I have prepared students for a range of extra-curricular chemistry activities including the Chemistry Olympiad, C3L6, Young Analyst competition and Top-of-Bench.
My personal involvement in water polo has demonstrated my commitment to strive for personal excellence to international level, together with the ability to motivate others to do likewise. I have coached a number of National Junior water polo teams.
