Studying German at Durham University; tutoring all students up to A-Levels!

Advert description
Whether a crash course before exams or a steady tutoring season of weekly lessons, I can help GCSE and A-Level students better their grades and prepare for exams. I myself sat German A-Level AQA and achieved an A* - I have many exam-focused strategies to share and can particularly help develop confidence around the IRP or equivalent level speaking exams.

The key to any language in speaking!

Most school classes have to overlook the importance of getting pupils speaking, whether due to class size or limited teaching time - in an hour of focused practice a surprising amount of confidence and fluency can be gained!

Beyond this, I can help with homework, challenging grammar, and the questions that pupils are too nervous to ask in class - there are no wrong questions here!

About me and my experience:

I'm April - I'm 22 years old studying German (and classics) at Durham University. I grew up partly in Berlin - I spoke no German at all when I first went to school(!) - and very quickly had to come to learn and love the language.

Since then I completed my A-Levels in the UK, improving my German further, and decided I wanted to continue developing it as an employable skill. Languages have a brilliant range of application - from communicating with friends to accessing new literature and new ways of thinking.

I'm very excited to share my knowledge of German with others, and look forward to meeting anyone who shares my love of the language, whatever stage of learning they may yet be!
