Science teacher to students from ages 12-16

I am a university student studying dentistry and have had past experience tutoring children for many years. I was once in a position where i was tutored myself and i wanted to help children the way i had gotten help to get into my dream university doing my dream course. My teaching style is mainly based on what the student wants to do themselves and I feel it is much better when the student has more control over their learning. The student before hand would tell me what they want to do in lesson and i would prepare questions for the student to do and notes/ presentation (depending on what they want to do) before hand for the student so when in lesson we do not waste time at all. At first we will do an assessment just for myself so that we can see which areas the student is struggling with and this assessment will be very simple.
